Tulsi Pujan Diwas was initiated nationwide in 2014 under the sacred inspiration of the revered Saint Shri Asharamji Bapu. It is celebrated every year on 25th December.
Worshiping Tulsi will enhance intelligence, morale, character, and health. Individuals will be shielded from mental depression, suicide, etc., and they will reap the benefits of this profound knowledge – the science of Indian culture.
With the philanthropic aim of bringing prosperity, happiness, harmony, health, and peace to the lives of people in the world, ‘Tulsi Puja Diwas’ was started by Bapuji. It is the vision of this saint that the medicinal, spiritual, and environmental benefits of Tulsi shall bring widespread advantages to the society.
It is noteworthy that during the period from 25th December to 1st January, to bid farewell to the year, incidents such as the consumption of alcohol, intoxicants, suicides, destruction, and unethical acts by young people occur frequently due to blind imitation of the Western culture. Celebrating Tulsi Pujan Diwas during these days will prove to be a blessing, as Tulsi serves as an excellent anti-depressant, increasing enthusiasm, vigor, and sattvikta (positive vibes).
It is shocking to learn that India’s oldest Apex Chamber, The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry’s (ASSOCHAM) survey on alcohol consumption during the period of December 25 to January 1 has revealed that teenagers aged 14 to 19 years heavily consume alcohol on these occasions. This is the reason why alcohol consumption increased up to three times during this period.
Consumption of other alcoholic beverages also increases during these days. Apart from elders, young people also consume them in large numbers. This not only causes physical harm to teenagers and young boys and girls, but their behavior also changes and their actions also become risky. Its result many times comes in the form of HIV infection (AIDS disease), while many people also suffer from many incurable diseases.
About 70% of teenagers consume alcohol on occasions like farewell parties, Christmas and New Year parties, Valentine’s Day, and birthdays. According to another survey, 40% of total road accidents in India are caused by alcohol.
All the actions done for the fulfillment of lust are prohibited during Dhanurmasa (a period of nearly one month, starting usually around 14-16 December and extending up to the mid of January); however, the actions done for the sake of God’s love during this period are especially productive and give inner joy. 25th December falls in the midst of the Dhanurmasa.
To get rid of all these serious problems of mankind, Tulsi Pujan Diwas was started by the well-wisher of all living beings, Sant Shri Asharamji Bapu, from which the whole world is benefiting today. Over the years, Tulsi Pujan Diwas has gained immense popularity & global acceptance and is being celebrated globally today.

Our Rishis knew it well that the bio-electric energy present in the Tulsi leaves protects the food substances from the disastrous adverse effect of the sunrays during the eclipse. Moreover, Tulsi leaves are antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral too.
